WP Launcher is a Docker-based platform that operates in two modes. In Agency Mode, it serves as a demo hosting platform that spins up isolated WordPress sites pre-loaded with plugins and themes. each in its own Docker container with a unique subdomain, auto-provisioned in approximately 10 seconds. In Local Mode, it functions as a full-featured local development environment with multi-PHP version support.
The Challenge
WordPress plugin and theme developers needed a way to let potential customers try their products in a live environment before purchasing. Existing solutions were either expensive hosted services with limited customization, or required complex manual setup of demo environments that were difficult to maintain and secure.
What Devstone Solutions Built
Devstone Solutions built WP Launcher with a React 19 dashboard, real-time provisioning progress, per-site PHP configuration (live, no restart), email testing via Mailpit, site health monitoring, scheduled launches, webhook notifications, and site export. The platform supports 20-30 concurrent demo sites on a 4GB RAM server.
